Who Can Attend?

NDIS-funded participants with a disability aged 7 to 65, privately funded individuals with a disability, and support workers who are welcome to join in the fun!

Join fellow Pokemon trainers for the Pokemon Go Springfield Community Walk, a fun and interactive gathering for all ages and skill levels! Whether you’re a seasoned player or just starting your Pokemon journey, this event is the perfect opportunity to meet like-minded players, trade Pokemon, participate in exciting Raid Battles, and explore the community while getting some fresh air and exercise.

Event Details:

When:

  • Tuesdays at 6 PM –  Raid Day
  • Wednesdays at 6 PM – Increased Shiny and Rare Pokemon Spawns

Playing Pokemon Go in a group can be a lot of fun and has several benefits:

  • Social Interaction: It’s a great way to meet and connect with other players who share your interest in Pokemon.
  • Team Activities: Many aspects of the game, like raid battles and gym battles, require teamwork to succeed, fostering collaboration.
  • Exploration: Players are encouraged to visit different places, landmarks, and parks to find Pokemon, which promotes outdoor activity and exploration.

What to Expect:

  • Meet & Greet: Connect with other Pokemon Go players in the area.
  • Raid Battles: Join forces to take down powerful Pokemon and earn exclusive rewards.
  • Trading & Friendship: Swap Pokemon with fellow trainers and build friendships.
  • Exploration & Exercise: Walk around local landmarks and enjoy the outdoors while playing.
  • Increased Spawn Rates: Enjoy boosted shiny encounters and rare Pokemon appearances on Wednesdays!

This event is proudly facilitated by Imran Khan (Founder of Fortitude Supports), and our dedicated mental health support workers, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive experience for all.

What You Need to Play:

  • A smartphone (iOS or Android) with GPS and a camera.
  • The Pokemon Go app (free to download from the App Store or Google Play).
  • A stable internet connection (mobile data or Wi-Fi recommended).
  • Optional: A portable charger to keep your phone powered up for extended play sessions.
